Assessing Your Alignment

Crowding, spacing, and some bite concerns can be treated with aligners. The team examines tooth and gum health and discusses whether aligners can achieve the needed movements. Some cases require another approach or a specialist referral.

Wearing and Changing Aligners

A planned series of trays applies controlled pressure to the teeth. You remove them for meals and cleaning and follow the prescribed wear schedule. Attachments or other adjustments may be part of treatment. Progress checks help determine when to move to the next stage. Aligners work only while worn. Most treatment plans call for 20 to 22 hours a day, removed mainly for meals and cleaning. Wearing them less than this can slow progress or affect the final result.

Protecting the Result

Cleaning the teeth and aligners is important throughout treatment. Pressure or soreness can occur as teeth move. Once alignment is complete, retainers help maintain the result; teeth can shift again without appropriate retention.

Questions About Invisalign Clear Aligners

How long does treatment take?

Treatment time depends on the required movements, your response, and consistent wear. A personal estimate follows assessment rather than a standard online timeline.

Can I eat with the trays in?

Remove aligners for meals and follow the instructions provided for drinks, cleaning, and reinserting them.

Is Invisalign painful?

Most patients feel mild pressure or tightness for a day or two after starting a new tray. This is expected and means the aligners are moving your teeth as planned.
